Skye Lee Smith is a watercolor artist living and working in Indianapolis, IN. She has always had a passion for animals and frequently paints portraits of them. She has been watercoloring for over 12 years, and graduated from Herron School of Art and Design in 2015 before becoming a middle school art teacher. In 2021, Smith resigned from teaching to pursue her art career full time. She is excited for this opportunity to partner with Southwest Wings Birding and Nature Festival to highlight the beautiful Arizona state bird: the Cactus Wren.
