The Huachuca Mountains are home to the yucca schottii. Carr Canyon where especially nice examples of this yucca grow is a perfect example of a riparian canyon. Instead of traveling to the Mexican Sierra Madres you can visit the Huachuca Mountains and see many of the same plants and enjoy the tall yuccas.
