The spiny softshell turtle has been introduced to the San Pedro River and little is known about its habits and movements there. Does it impact native species such as Sonoran mud turtle? A field study is under way on the San Pedro River led by Dr Aletris Neils from the Wildlands Studies program who explains what they are trying to achieve.
